I am so excited God has called me to serve in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh! I am entering my third year as a missionary here at Pitt and will be serving as the Team Director. It is a joy to get to share in this mission with you!

Before going to college I knew that I wanted to surround myself with people who were pursuing the faith and calling me to greatness. However, it didn’t take long when I got to my college campus to see just how truly difficult that can be, and how extremely lonely it seemed. My faith quickly became more and more surface level, and the loneliness and emptiness only continued to get greater.

It was over the winter of my freshmen year of college that I attended the SEEK conference that was put on by FOCUS. I was completely in awe seeing over 13,000 young vibrant college students from all over who were actively searching for their faith. I had never seen people my age live out the faith with such radiant joy and complete conviction. They were truly living differently. It was the first time in my college experience that I didn’t feel like I was the only one fighting to live a life with Jesus while being in college. That conference planted a seed in my heart, that led my faith to grow abundantly. I started getting involved in Bible studies, attending daily mass, and began placing my identity and worth as a Beloved Daughter of God, instead of in the world. 

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ, and for them to come to know their identity and worth in Jesus. My life has been transformed by following the Lord and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. I want to be for someone what I always wished I had in my college experience. Someone to lead others to greatness, someone to walk with them in their faith, and someone to lead them to the one who truly fulfills our deepest desires!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I begin to serve on campus.
