After 3 years serving as a Missionary and Team Director on campus, I am now serving as the Sponsorships Specialist on our Formative Enterprise Operations team at the national headquarters for FOCUS. This means that I get to serve as a missionary to our missionaries! I help facilitate an encounter with Christ through our media platforms and annual SEEK Conference (one of the largest Catholic conferences in the U.S.) by connecting hundreds of organizations through sponsorships to make the conference possible for the many thousands of students and adults who attend. Each year, our exhibitor hall, Mission Way, is packed full of attendees discerning with religious orders, searching for job opportunities, purchasing Christian merchandise, and seeking to deepen their faith in Our Lord. It is a joy to serve in this capacity and I hope you will join me on this great mission!

For most of my life I viewed my faith and relationship with God as simply something that I did as if it was nothing more than a sport, club, or hobby. As I entered my freshman year of college, I found myself distant from Him and searching for happiness and meaning in the “college experience” like many students today. This pursuit was constantly met with an emptiness inside me and an intense desire for something more. In the countless times I turned my back on Christ, he never stopped knocking at the door of my heart. It was through my time in college with FOCUS missionaries on my campus that I radically encountered the Lord and discovered that my identity and true, lasting happiness is found in relationship with Jesus Christ. As He has become the center of my life, I have never experienced greater desire to grow closer to Him, to become the man He has called me to be, and to share His love and mercy with as many people as I can.

“For this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” -John 17:3

As a FOCUS missionary, my greatest desire is to lead others to Christ in a world where the need is more urgent than ever. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to His own example of reaching the world to know the one who gave everything so that we may be complete in eternal life with Him!

“With such affection for you, we were determined to share with you not only the Gospel of God, but our very selves as well, so dearly beloved had you become to us.” -1 Thes. 2:8

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve in this mission. Your faithful commitment makes it possible for hearts to be changed and for the joy of Christ to radiate to all those we encounter! I would be delighted to share in this mission with you!
