We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“When you wonder about the mystery of yourself, look to Christ who gives you the meaning of life.” Pope St. John Paul II; 1979.
I am blessed to be able to serve in the role of Donor Communications Manager at the Denver Support Center, supporting my fellow missionaries and our generous donors. I am so grateful for those who support FOCUS financially, and it is an honor to be able to return the favor of supporting them.
Since getting to know Christ more deeply in college, my life has been totally transformed and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In Jesus’s ministry, he constantly humbled Himself to meet everyone where they were. Throughout my life, He has continued to do the same for me.
Upon graduating college, I joined FOCUS and served on campus at the University of Maryland in College Park. I met some of the most incredible people there and truly felt like I had the best job in the world. When the Lord called me to move to Denver, CO I felt a new pull to also join the corporate world and work for a vocational rental management company. It brought me to a new mission of sharing the Gospel of Christ with my coworkers, neighbors, and fellow parishioners. After two years of working there, a new role with FOCUS became available, and I was invited to consider coming back. The Lord’s hand was clearly at work, and I left my job to begin managing the Donor Communications Team for FOCUS.
Now more than ever, I see that the mission of FOCUS is crucial on college campuses, within corporate work, in new cities, and in every path that we might be called to take. In 1979, Pope John Paull II said, “When you wonder about the mystery of yourself, look to Christ who gives you the meaning of life.” I had been working so hard to figure out what I wanted to do for my enjoyment, that I continued to be dissatisfied with my work–afraid that I was never utilizing my gifts and talents the way the Lord designed me to use them. After turning to Him and pleading for his guidance, I have never felt more at home and at peace than being back and working for an apostolate I love.
I am so blessed that God has called me to this mission of serving others through FOCUS. I couldn’t be more excited to continue working with an organization that supports college students, whom I know firsthand, need loving support in forming their faith. It is only with the financial and spiritual support of others that I will be able to continue in this mission. I have faith in God that He will lead me to those who believe in the mission and desire to go with me through their monthly support. Thank you for reading my page and thank you especially to those who are already supporting me. I hope you know how much I appreciate all that you do!
