Maxwell: God has called me to serve college students at Vanderbilt! I am meeting with students, leading bible studies, and deeply investing in the lives of the young men that will lead and transform our society in the years to come. I get to primarily work with my FOCUS Vanderbilt teammates (Shannon, Haley, and Jackson) and University Catholic, the Catholic Campus Ministry that serves Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities.

Riley: I serve Donor Communications.

Maxwell: My life has been transformed by encountering Christ Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring the joy I have found to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. This same thing happened to me when I was a freshman in college at the University of Alabama. I dove deeply into the sin pervasive on college campuses and in ‘party’ culture. However, a good and virtuous friend of mine invested deeply in friendship with me and helped facilitate an encounter with the Lord through inviting me on a FOCUS mission trip. I look to these examples to find the best method of reaching the world, investing in a few men who can go on to change the world.
