My husband, Matt, and I currently live in Jamestown, North Carolina, and I serve on the Staff Care team.

As a senior in college, with expectations for what the next year of my life would be leading me to in terms of graduating with a psychology degree, pursuing graduate school, and moving to Boston to work full time, a FOCUS missionary entered my life. Any plans of my own quickly turned upside down. She introduced me to the relationship that my heart has always been searching for; with Jesus Christ and His Church. Once I personally encountered Jesus in the Eucharist, the next steps for my life could not be more clear; I need to share the incredible, life-changing message of the Gospel. We were all created for a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is the deepest desire of our hearts. I cannot wait to run toward the Lord with all the students that I encounter and grow with!

When I answered God’s call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. We are all called to share the good news of the Lord, and as Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said “Some give by going on mission. Others go by giving to the mission.
