We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“All people are born as originals but many die as photocopies.” – Bl. Carlos Acutis
After serving five years on campus as a missionary at the University of Kentucky and James Madison University, I now serve as a missionary with the East Area Regional Team. In the same way we see Saint Paul direct, support & encourage growing Christian communities in his letters to the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, etc…my role as a Regional Director is to build up growing Christian communities at the University level. I get to be ‘the missionary to the missionaries’ at the Naval Academy, George Mason, University of Maryland, Towson, Johns Hopkins, Shippensburg and Lehigh University.
I volunteered in Kolkata, India with FOCUS summer of my junior year at the University of California, Davis. Removed from the comforts of daily life while serving the poor with the religious order Mother Teresa founded, the Missionaries of Charity, my life changed. Although raised Catholic, it was the joyful, prayerful witness of FOCUS Missionaries & student leaders that brought me to a depth of relationship with Christ & interior freedom I did not know was possible. That freedom of heart is made for every single human being. The years spent at university can be the most formative in disposing us towards or away from that freedom. To move towards the goal of living as the original, unrepeatable, child of God that you and I were created to be, to not ‘die as photocopies‘ in the image of worldly trends & allurements, I said ‘Yes’ to becoming a missionary with FOCUS.
Mother Teresa said, “Some give by going, others go by giving.” When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please email at [email protected] or text me (530) 574 – 9544 and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
