We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am a missionary to the missionaries and to their supporters – people just like you.
My dream is:
I serve at our Denver Support Center in the MPD (Mission Partner Development) department.
I went to Kettering University to be a mechanical engineer and had everything I thought I needed to be happy. Except I wasn’t.
I already loved deep conversations and learning more about the faith – He wanted me to use that as a missionary. He wanted me to let others experience the life-changing-ness Jesus gives us in the Gospel.
And so I did.
For five years, I served as a campus missionary, meeting students who were leaving their families and support, striking it off on their own, asking big questions about what’s important in life.
The friends you making your first week in college tend to be your friends the whole time – as a missionary, I wanted to be one of those friends. I wanted to be their family-away-from-home.
When I transitioned to the Denver Support Center (DSC) I learned that students aren’t the only ones leaving their supportive families, missionaries are too. That’s part of why missionaries build a team of mission partners who join them prayerfully and financially.
To quote a video game, “It’s dangerous to go alone!”
I’m not able to do this mission alone. Just like our campus missionaries, I have a team of mission partners – faithful individuals and families who join me on mission.
Together, you and I can be there to support missionaries. We can help them build a team of mission partners of their own. And by joining the mission of FOCUS, we are right there alongside missionaries as they reach students – students who are searching, lost, and lonely.
It would be an honor for you to join us on this mission. We’d love to have you on the team.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
