Where I serve

I will serve part-time at Loras College in Dubuque, IA in the FALL of 2023 while I finish up my undergraduate studies. Then in January 2024 I will receive my full-time placement as a missionary!
My Story
I grew up as a cradle-catholic in a family of 14 kids, made up of 11 boys and 3 girls. Throughout most of my life my family has been a great blessing to me, they supported me and gave me a solid foundation in my faith. However it was in college that my faith really took off. I was just going through the motions until I had found a community of friends who went to Mass. It was this community that motivated me. I went to Mass to see them, but Jesus took that opportunity to help me to see Him. Shortly after meeting these friends of mine I applied to join seminary and was in seminary for a year and a half. After leaving seminary I found myself trying to figure out where my faith fit into my life. It was then that the FOCUS missionaries came into my life. They began to walk with me as I grew in my own faith, and invited me over and over again to walk with others to be a community for them just as I had a community my freshman year. These invitations in combination with seeing the effects FOCUS had on my campus is what inspired me to be a missionary. Through FOCUS I have seen people find their faith, and grow tremendously in their faith. Seeing this effect I have realized that it is one of my greatest desires to help people find their own relationship with God. Our chaplain on campus has a saying that “We all have two goals in life, to get to heaven and to bring as many people with us as we can.” It has been my own personal mission, that through the grace of God I can lead other people to His love. I am very excited to enter into this mission with FOCUS!
