I’ll be serving at Eastern Washington University starting this fall as a part-time student-missionary! I hope to see you around!
I grew up in a small Catholic family on the western side of Washington State. Once I got to Eastern Washington University in the fall of 2019 as a student, I quickly abandoned the faith for a life of partying. Once Covid happened and I was back home, I was left confused about what to do and where to go with my life. The party life wasn’t giving me the fulfillment I was looking for and therefore I started to feel lost in my identity. It wasn’t until a FOCUS Missionary who had reached out to me my freshman year texted me once I was back on campus, asking if I wanted to join a Bible study. It was through that Missionary and Bible study that I learned about SEEK (FOCUS’ annual conference) and decided to go. Once there, I was moved by the love of Christ and realized my true identity as a beloved son of God. I left the party world behind and started practicing the faith again. If you’d like to hear the more drawn-out funny version of the story, come find me on campus; I’d be happy to share!
As a Catholic, I have received the call to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19) With your impact, I’m able to do just that by being on campus, encountering and sharing the Gospel with the students just like my Missionary did for me. It would be an honor for you to join me!
