We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi there! I’m Olivia and I love being a FOCUS missionary!
“They left everything and followed Him.”
Luke 5:11
The Lord has called me to serve at the University of Illinois at Chicago (go Flames) for my third year as a campus missionary! I’ve spent all three years as a missionary at this campus and I have grown quite fond of the people God has given me. I spend most of my time at our Newman Center coffee shop, Cor Coffee, exploring the many wonders of Chicago, or engaging in various shenanigans with our students.
I have absolutely fallen in love with Jesus. His Love has totally transformed my life in ways I never thought imaginable and that is why I do what I do. It is an honor to serve young people, the future of our Church, and to do it in a city like Chicago.
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to show all people the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness of the Catholic Church. I desire a life of Abundance, for myself and for all people I encounter. My life has been, and continues to be, transformed by Jesus. I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. It was during college that I learned the difference between loving Jesus and being in love with Jesus. This difference may seem small, but it is what drives my every decision and what confirmed my call to live a radical life of mission. Every day is an opportunity to live the Abundant Life that God is offering you. What a gift to live this life with the students at UIC!
When I answered God’s call for me to live as a full-time FOCUS Missionary, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial generosity of Mission Partners. I have already been blessed with some of the most amazing people who have chosen to journey with me as I serve at UIC. If you are interested in serving with me, please reach out and we will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you!
You were made for more than mediocrity. You were made for Abundance.
Let’s be soldiers.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
