We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Jesus turned around and saw her, and said, ‘Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.'”
-Matthew 9:22
I will serve my second year on staff at our new expansion campus, Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania! Go Raiders!
Growing up in the suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, my family was not particularly religious. We went to mass sometimes, even on Christmas and Easter if we were lucky, but that was the extent of my relationship with God. After experiencing deep traumas in my life, I turned to the one person I knew would be there for me: Jesus.
Even though I did not know Him well, I knew that He loved me perfectly and endlessly.
With this newfound love, I decided to attend Seton Hall University to pursue both my bachelor’s degree and my faith. I completed RCIA during my freshman year and was confirmed in the Church in October 2020. While at SHU, I grew deeper in my pursuit of Jesus and His Church. When it came time to apply for FOCUS, I was hesitant; how could someone as deeply wounded as me be a missionary?
But, Jesus had other plans. By the Grace of God, I was hired as a missionary!
My goal with FOCUS is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and to show every college student that they are deeply and intimately loved by God. With the state of the world today, college students need to be reminded more than ever how important and sacred they are. By embarking on this mission, I hope to bring more students to the Church so they may realize the priceless value of their lives.
Please pray for me, my students, and the FOCUS mission!
With your kindness and generosity, through the Grace of God, I will be able to help struggling college students find Jesus Christ. I would not be able to complete my mission without relying on the blessings of my mission partners. I would be honored to have you partner in my mission. If you are interested, please reach out and I would be glad to set up an appointment to chat! God bless you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
