Where I serve

Jesus has called me to leave my home state of Mississippi in order to serve the people of Auburn University! I am beyond excited to call Auburn, Alabama and the people of it my new home, including my team! War Eagle!

My Story

I was born and raised Catholic in Tupelo, Mississippi, but it wasn’t until the summer before my junior year of high school that I began intentionally pursuing my faith, inspired by the joyful witness of my youth minister, Mary Frances. Toward the end of high school, I fell into the emptiness of party culture, which led to a season of self-hatred, perfectionism, and deep shame that followed me into my freshman year at Southern Miss.

During that year, I lived in quiet self-condemnation, striving to be whatever those around me expected—the perfect sorority girl, Bible study participant, or student. The Lord met me in that brokenness through FOCUS discipleship with Maddie, a close friend whose patient accompaniment helped me cling to Christ when I could barely hold on. Tired of the double life I was living, I entrusted the following summer to God, who radically transformed my life through FOCUS Summer Projects in Boyne Falls, Michigan. There, through daily prayer, the Sacraments, and life-giving friendships, I encountered Jesus’ perfect, unconditional love—not based on performance, but on my identity as a beloved daughter of God.

Returning to campus that fall, I knew I was called to bring the healing and restoration I had found in Christ back to USM. As a FOCUS missionary, my greatest desire is to help others encounter the same love and freedom I have received. I am deeply grateful for those who have reflected Christ’s love to me, and I look forward to continuing to know His Heart more deeply through those He places in my life at Auburn University. All glory be His!
