We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“When you know how much God is in love with you then you can only live your life radiating that love.” -St. Mother Teresa
I will be serving at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh! As a born and raised Floridian this means that I’ll need to purchase my very first winter coat. But I’m happy to do that for Jesus.
I was blessed to grow up as the youngest child in a big Catholic family. By the grace of God and the formation received from my family, I always knew that the Faith was true on an intellectual level. But a purely intellectual knowledge of the Truth is far different from the loving knowledge that God desires us to have of Him.
I like to describe my walk with the Lord along the lines of the older son in the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15). The one who lived in the Father’s House for his entire life but did not always know the great treasure that he possessed. Like the older son, I often took the Faith for granted and lacked an honest and personal relationship with the Lord. Sadly, I saw God more as a master that I needed to serve out of fear rather than a Father I wanted to serve out of love.
But thankfully we have a good Father who sends many graces to open our minds and hearts to the Truth. One of these graces was found in my encounter with several FOCUS missionaries during my time in college. These missionaries lived out their walk with the Lord with great simplicity, joy, and beauty. They were some of the Lord’s instruments that set me on a path to rediscover the great gift of this treasure that I had all along…the treasure of living as a beloved daughter of the Father. I pray that I am able to pass along this undeserved gift that I have received to the students I will be serving as a FOCUS missionary.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the prayerful and financial support of mission partners to help me live this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me, please email me at [email protected]. I would be honored to share this mission with you!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
