We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“In her voyage across the ocean of this world, the Church is like a great ship being pounded by the waves of life’s different stresses. Our duty is not to abandon ship but to keep her on her course.” – St. Boniface
I cannot wait to begin my first year as a missionary at the University of Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Maine and am excited to join the FOCUS apostolate. I’m excited to be at the University of Connecticut to present the gospel to the students, community, and campus. Go Huskies!!
Growing up in Maine, I regularly attended parish events, retreats, and men’s groups. However, I only wanted to minimally practice when I first got to college. When I enrolled at the University of Maine, it was the first semester back from the pandemic lockdown. At first, it was hard to get involved with the distancing guidelines, and many parts of campus were still closed. One of the few places that wasn’t shut down was the Newman Center. The Newman Center allowed me to make life-long relationships with the students and missionaries. The more time I spent with these friends, the more I wanted to aspire to be like them. After leading bible studies and participating in fraternal formation, I knew that I wanted to give of myself as a missionary to help other students grow.
Discerning the Lord’s will was difficult at first. However, through the spiritual and financial support of others, this discernment was made possible. The support that you give not only impacts our mission together but also helps bring students into this mission as well. It is under One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, that this mission continues to reach the hearts of many. If you are interested in becoming a mission partner, I can be reached at (207)-206-6156 or at [email protected]. I would be happy to schedule an appointment that is most convenient for you. God Bless!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
