We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
-C.S. Lewis
I currently serve as a second year missionary at Kennesaw State University. Hooty Hoo!
Coming into my first year at Texas A&M, I knew I wanted to follow Jesus with all my heart, soul, and strength, but without the proper guidance, I still placed created goods above the Creator, from whom all good things come. Being of divided heart, I found nothing but misery.
After joining a FOCUS Bible study, I began to spend more time with my Bible study leader, who showed me the life of one whose heart was turned uncompromisingly toward God. Through his intimate relationship with Jesus, he was able to make a sincere gift of himself in friendship, and I began to imitate him as he imitated Christ. I, too, began to grow in relationship with God by practicing daily prayer and frequenting the sacraments.
As a FOCUS missionary, I want to hand on to others the fruits I have received from these relationships and from my encounter with the living God.
When joining FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me on mission. I’ve been blessed with amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you!!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
