We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“So Jesus said to the twelve, ‘Do you want to go away as well?’ Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.'”
John 6:67-69
I’m currently serving in my second year with FOCUS and first year with the Digital Outreach team, where I’ll be giving formation and community to students who aren’t able to have in-person FOCUS missionaries with them in college. It’s a joy for me to be able to provide this to those students who feel most isolated as they try to live their faith in college, and I eagerly anticipate helping launch some of the first Bible studies ever on those campuses!
I grew up Catholic in a small town of 4,000 in rural Wisconsin. Despite being a relatively faithful member of my Church and well performing student-athlete, I also was living a life contrary to the Gospel when I thought no authority figures were watching. After going through a large transformational period my senior year of high school, I found that living in relationship with God actually gave me life rather than suppressed it. I became involved with FOCUS almost immediately my freshman year at the University of Kansas, which helped me cultivate a robust daily prayer life, attend Mass daily rather than weekly, and assent to Jesus’ call to Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations by leading Bible studies and leading my fellow students to deeper relationship with Him (Mt 28:19). Having experienced the abundant life Jesus has given me through placing Him at the center of my life, I sincerely desire to help others do the same, which is why I said “yes” to being a FOCUS missionary!
Being a full-time missionary means that I put my all into doing what I’m able to help bring about conversions of the souls that I am sent to. Because of this, it means I rely on the generosity of mission partners to support myself, my beautiful wife, Mikala, and son, Bennett, as I pursue the lost souls of God’s children on the college campus. Without the profound generosity of my mission partners, none of my work is possible!
If you are curious about partnering with me, or just simply want to hear more about what I do, let me know the best way for me to reach you and I can schedule a meeting for us to connect; it would be an honor to share in my mission with you!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
