I feel so blessed that the Lord has called me to serve the students at North Dakota State University. I fell in love with North Dakota during my time at University of Mary and so I am thrilled to be back in this great state! I am so excited to walk with students at NDSU and share the love of Christ with them.

During my time in college at the University of Mary, I had the opportunity to go on a FOCUS retreat, and it was there that I encountered the personal love of Jesus Christ for the first time. He revealed to me my woundedness and the painful parts of my heart and loved me so gently and tenderly there. My life completely changed that weekend. I knew that Jesus was really present in the Eucharist, that His love for me is real and that I can have a personal relationship with Him.

I have encountered the Lord most deeply when I invite Him into my own brokenness and suffering. The Lord desires to enter into our suffering, first so that we can encounter Him there, but then He desires to heal the places in our hearts that are broken and hurting. I’ve seen in my own life that the Lord can and will redeem our suffering if we allow Him to. The Lord continues to reveal His heart for me and His overflowing love for me.

After graduating, I went on a FOCUS Mission Trip to Peru and saw the need for evangelization in a whole new way. I had experienced the love of Christ in my own life and realized that I have a duty to share His love with others who haven’t met Him yet. My deepest desire is for each and every person to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to know His immense love for them. I’m so grateful that the Lord has invited me to be a full-time missionary with FOCUS where I not only get to share the amazing things Jesus has done in my own life, but I also get to walk with others in encountering Him and coming to know His love for them.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
