We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey! My name’s Sarah and I’m a FOCUS Missionary.
“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.” -St. John Paul II
As I enter my second year of mission, I am returning to serve at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I am so excited to continue mission, deepen friendships, and bring more students to know Christ Jesus! Roll Dawgs!
Growing up, I went to Catholic school and mass every weekend with my family. However, I did not prioritize God in my life; He was the first to go when my schedule filled up. After transferring colleges (twice), I encountered FOCUS during my sophomore year at Loras College which completely transformed my life!
It was through a personal invitation to join a bible study, that I began to receive and understand my identity as a beloved daughter of God. I realized my worth did not come from my grades, achievements, or fulfilling the expectations of others. And amidst the struggles and challenges, God was patiently waiting at the door of my heart. “Will you let me love you?”
Over the last few years, I have grown in deeper relationship with the Lord and have been in continuous surrender to His will for my life. In doing so, I have felt His gentle tug on my heart to give Him a greater “yes” by serving Him & bringing others into relationship with Him. I am reminded that every day there is a spiritual battle in which souls are at stake.
When I gave my YES to the Lord and the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners like you! If you would like to accompany me on this journey and be a part of the work the Lord is doing on campus, please reach out. I’d be honored to get to know you and share this mission with you!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
