God has called me all the way from New Jersey to serve at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette!

When I was a college student at Vanderbilt University, my life was radically transformed by Jesus through FOCUS missionaries that radiated and lived self-giving love and authentic friendship. Their joy was contagious and their hope was attractive, and I desperately wanted to know what they had. Their investment, perpetual invitation, and desire to love me with Christ’s love led me to encounter after encounter with Jesus as His Beloved, and a freedom in the Church that I had never experienced before.

God was and still is chasing after me, and I am forever changed because of it.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue inviting college students into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church and equipping them to do the same with others. I greatly desire to love and pursue women in the way that I was in my college years, remind them of who they are as daughters of God, and grow in friendship and love of the Lord together! I would be humbled and honored to share more of my story with you!

This woman, Brooke Dennison, is a big part of my story! I met her at our annual SEEK conference in Phoenix, Arizona in 2020. I was given the great honor of accompanying her in the chaos of life at Vanderbilt, and inviting her more deeply into a relationship with God as a compassionate, merciful, and patient Father. With joy, I watched her reconversion to the Catholic Church at the end of our junior year, and she hasn’t looked back: Brooke also said yes to being a FOCUS missionary! When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. This past year, I was blessed to co-lead a bible study with Brooke. What a gift it was to love these women – sophomores, juniors, and seniors in different sororities on campus – to encounter Jesus through His Word, and share our lives and prayer with one another.
