I am overjoyed that the Lord has called me to serve my second year as a campus missionary at Boston University! I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life — I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me around campus and I’d love to share it with you. 🙂
I was extremely blessed to grow up in an amazing, loving, practicing Catholic family. Growing up, we were always involved in the parish and helped lead our youth group. However, when I got to the University of Maryland for my freshman year, I put my faith on the back burner. I was somewhat involved in the Catholic Center on campus for my first couple of years, but found myself splitting my identity between my faith, my class work, and my social life. I viewed my faith as a check-the-box item on my to-do list every week and had no idea what it meant to live in the fullness and freedom of a relationship with the Lord.
When I got back to UMD at the beginning of my third year, I met a wonderful FOCUS missionary named Maggie. She and I became instant friends and she began to walk with me to help me begin to build a true relationship with Christ. As I fell more in love with the Lord, I also began to desire to walk with other women in the way that Maggie was walking with me. Eventually, I began to do so through leading a Bible study with some of the women I met in my engineering courses. Watching the Lord work in the lives of each of the women in my study was incredibly beautiful and I knew that He was calling me to continue living out that same mission after graduation with FOCUS. Last year, I served my first year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and I can’t wait to see what the Lord does this year at BU!
This year, I am overjoyed to be entering into a deeper mission and vocation as well! In January 2024, I’ll be getting married to the love of my life Dom Fatzinger!! This past year, Dom served his first year as a missionary at Brown, but will be joining me in Boston on team BU. We are so excited to enter into this new phase of our life together and continue on mission to help bring souls to Christ through our vocation!!
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’ own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I encountered this past year and I can’t wait to encounter even more at BU !!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
