God has called me to serve my sixth year on staff, and my fourth year as Team Director, at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. I am very excited to be leading our team of five UL missionaries in spreading the Gospel on campus and forming lifelong disciples of Christ in collaboration with Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Student Center.
While I was involved in my faith in high school and college, it was through a series of smaller encounters with the Lord during retreats and conferences at UT-Austin that I began to understand and respond to the invitation for a relationship with Jesus as a person. These encounters culminated with my time at World Youth Day in Poland in the summer of 2016 on a FOCUS pilgrimage; for two weeks I entered into a daily prayer life and encountered other young adults in relationship with Jesus who were filled with the joy of the gospel. When I returned to the states that August, I resolved to apply to become a FOCUS missionary and leave my full-time job in business consulting if Jesus opened the door for me. In October of that year, I applied and was invited to staff – by His grace, it was an easy yes to give.
I started with FOCUS in May of 2017. I am now five years into my journey as a campus missionary and my life has been TRANSFORMED. I lead a team of five missionaries and we are blessed to pray a Holy Hour every day and serve the students at UL-Lafayette. I have a front-row seat to God’s awesome power of conversion and transformation, and I would not trade it for the world.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I am excited to partner with others to accomplish this mission. Please consider joining me spiritually or financially in this endeavor to bring the life and beauty of the gospel to the hearts of college students, and let’s change the world together. If you are interested in partnering with me, please email me at [email protected] and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
