Where I serve

God has called me to serve my eighth year on staff, and my sixth year as Team Director, at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. I am very excited to be leading our team of five UL missionaries in spreading the Gospel on campus and forming lifelong disciples of Christ in collaboration with Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Student Center.

My Story

While I was involved in my faith in high school and college, it was through a series of smaller encounters with the Lord during retreats and conferences at UT-Austin that I began to understand and respond to the invitation for a relationship with Jesus as a person. These encounters culminated with my time at World Youth Day in Poland in the summer of 2016 on a FOCUS pilgrimage; for two weeks I entered into a daily prayer life and encountered other young adults in relationship with Jesus who were filled with the joy of the gospel. When I returned to the states that August, I resolved to apply to become a FOCUS missionary and leave my full-time job in business consulting if Jesus opened the door for me. In October of that year, I applied and was invited to staff – by His grace, it was an easy yes to give.

I started with FOCUS in May of 2017. I am now 7 years into my journey as a campus missionary and my life has been TRANSFORMED. I lead a team of six missionaries and we are blessed to pray a Holy Hour every day and serve the students at UL-Lafayette. I have a front-row seat to God’s awesome power of conversion and transformation, and I would not trade it for the world.
