The Lord has called me to join Him in the Great Mission of spreading His word to college students. This year I will serve at the University of Virginia. Coming into college my only desires in life were to succeed in the classroom and obtain the highest paying job once I graduated. I had absolutely no plans to grow in my Catholic faith, something that hadn’t been a part of my life since I was baptized as a baby. Boy, did the Lord have other plans for me. Soon enough I found myself desiring a deep relationship with Him and I underwent a radical conversion of the mind and heart. I fell deeply in love with Christ and His Church, so much so that I received the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion in April 2021 – Praise God! Ever since my conversion I have felt called to share the brilliant Light of God with others who are struggling to grow in faith, much like my own story. I truly believe the Lord led me to FOCUS in order to help students encounter Christ and pursue a more meaningful life than what the mainstream culture has to offer. I was blessed to serve my first year with FOCUS at the University of Pittsburgh, and I cannot wait to see what God has planned for this year at UVA!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
