I was raised in a good Christian home and had some incredible Christian friends growing up. So, when I went to college I wanted get involved. I ended up meeting someone who eventually invited me to come the Catholic student center on campus. As I was further introduced into the Catholic Church, I realized the Lord was pursuing me through this. The tradition, the beauty, the truth of the church really spoke to me. After becoming Catholic Easter of 2019, I found the Lord calling me to fall more deeply in love with Him. I pursued the person of Jesus Christ and found how He pursued me. He longed to know me and love me in a way I’d never fathomed.

“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.”

JP2’s words are just a summary of what I hope to share with the students I encounter on campus. My last 5 years in college the Lord actively pursued my heart, showing me that everything I desired and longed for was satisfied in Him. Nothing matters if my heart is not deeply united to Christ.

The Lord has called me to something great, to be a missionary. To share with the world His love and His joy. My hope is to encounter students into an invitation to know themselves better and subsequently to know the person of Christ better. He is what we’ve always been looking for.

“Perhaps you were made for such a time as this” Esther 4:14

The Lord is calling me to go to campus to be a missionary, but I recognize not everyone can go but you have the unique gift and ability to send me! I get to be the hands and feet of Christ’s body, and you get to be the heart that fuels the mission. I cannot reach anyone without you.
