We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello! My name’s Tessa. I’m a FOCUS missionary.
“See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.”
1 John 3:1
I was honored to serve my first semester with FOCUS at the University of Nebraska at Kearney while finishing classes. The Lord has now called me on a new adventure to serve at the University of Delaware! I am excited to walk alongside college students in this journey to Heaven! The Lord is never outdone in generosity, and I hope to share more with you about the graces he continues to pour out.
Through the witness of FOCUS missionaries on my campus, I was introduced to the reality that we are made for personal relationship with the Lord. Through simple invitations, I began living a life filled with a joy never before experienced. Joy that flowed from a life lived with Christ. My college journey has been full of adventure which continually draws me deeper into the heart of Jesus. With the simplicity of others saying ‘yes’ to God’s call for them, I have been lead to where I am today. I hope that in my ‘yes’, I will be a vessel for the truth and mercy of the Lord to others. I would love to share more of my story with you!
The college campus is a place where young people will be formed and make decisions that will guide the rest of their life. In order for us to be radically available for these men and women we as FOCUS missionaries have the opportunity to fundraise 100% of our salary. This is a very unique opportunity to have many other individuals participating in this work alongside myself. The most fulfilling investment in the world with the “return” being that of transforming the life of an individual for all eternity. Through monthly gifts from individuals like yourself we can change the world and the culture of the college campus. No one can do this work alone and I invite you to join me on campus at the University of Nebraska at Kearney through your prayers and financial support.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
