We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:39
I was raised in a Catholic household and God has always been a part of my life. However, as I grew older, I was slowly putting more of my time and identity in what the world had to offer. During this searching to elevate myself, I limited God, and it was not until I realized how empty it was to live for the world that I reached out to God relationally. Through His grace, he met me in this spot of emptiness and gave me hope for a more meaningful life. Slowly, He continued to encounter me with His love and gave me opportunities of struggle and joy to fully appreciate what He’s done on the cross. A couple of the struggles included a search for truth in questioning if the Catholic Church is true and another being how to find purpose in a self centered and hedonistic world. Through these experiences and having seen the witness of many missionaries in my life, God placed on my heart a desire for mission. Thus, I have responded in a hope to invite others on this journey of knowing more of the truth and love in Christ Jesus and the beauty of His Church.
