We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey! My name’s Theresa. I’m a FOCUS missionary serving at the University of Regensburg, Germany.
This year I’ll be the Team Director on our latest expansion Campus in Germany! Regensburg is a small city in Bavaria an hour north of Munich. I’m looking forward to meet new people, get to know the place and starting the mission there. I want to invite others to get to know Jesus Christ (more deeply) by being a witness of the joy which he brings. I’m excited to to step into the adventure that God has prepared for me!
As many people in Germany I was baptized as a baby, received the Eucharist the first time by the age of eight years and got confirmed five years afterwards. As a child I sometimes prayed to God, but I never knew Jesus. When I started studying in the year of 2015 in Passau I didn’t believe in God at all and thought the church would be some old institution with big issues. That changed when I started to get to know people who actually believed in Christ, and then even more when the first FOCUS missionaries arrived in Passau in the summer of 2018. I started to believe in Jesus presence in the Eucharist. A little later, at the seek conference in 2019, I understood that the only place where I will find the love that I’ve been longing for my whole live, is with Jesus at the cross.
As my love for Jesus grew, so did my love for the church. I stared leading a bible study as a student any eventually became a missionary. What if seen in the past years, is that there is a great need for people that make the church relatable. Jesus wants to love and reach the whole world through his church. We are his arms and hands and we need to get to know people and encounter them just like Christ would. Through this encounter and through the little way of evangelization the church can experience a true renewal.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. Being a mission partner means, that you would partake in the mission Jesus has entrustet to me. If you are interested in partnering with me or you would like to learn more about the mission of FOCUS in Europe, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. My mail-adress is [email protected]. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
