We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve as a missionary. I do that from Denver at our Support Center. Our task is to support the more than 1000 missionaries on over 200 campuses FOCUS’ serves nationally (and internationally). FOCUS also serves on over two dozen parishes.
As the founding director of Varsity Catholic, I am blessed to continue working with our outreach to college athletes. I also have the opportunity to support our efforts reaching those in fraternities and sororities (FOCUS Greek). Additionally, we have launched a mentorship program for our married missionaries. Our hope is to support and encourage them in their marriage as they seek to be missionary families.
Over a year ago, I was also asked to help lead our efforts to walk with young people who desire to do the work of evangelization. That effort is called Digital Outreach. We serve students on over 70 campuses and in over 20 different countries.
My wife, Kate, as been working part-time with FOCUS helping the families of missionaries across the country. We have six young children.
I encountered Jesus Christ in a radical way through the many folks I met in FOCUS. I decided after I graduated to go back to campus to serve the “type of guy I was”. I wanted to reach out to men that were like me and my friends my first three years of college – good guys but missing the real joy of Christ.
I have been with FOCUS since 2001 and never looked back.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
