I am interning at the Denver Support Center in Denver, Colorado! I will be working with the Donor Communications Support team.

I am currently in my second to last semester of college at Missouri University of Science and Technology. In the spring of 2023, a FOCUS missionary on my campus saw me around and decided she wanted to be my friend. Through my friendship with her, I realized I wanted to start living my life completely for the Lord. It was a slow burn though, I would say, because it took time for me to realize what giving my entire life to the Lord actually looked like. However, FOCUS provided me with friends who were there for me as I figured that out and are continuing to walk with me even today.

At my college campus, just about every student is studying engineering in some sort of way (myself included). Throughout my studies and other extracurriculars, I found myself dissatisfied with the way I was living my life. This was about the same time I met a FOCUS missionary, and she too recognized that I wasn’t feeling fulfilled and I didn’t quite know what to do to fix my problem. The good news is, I actually wasn’t the one who was capable of fixing that problem!! It was Jesus; and when I truly let Him into my heart and invited Him into every part of my life, my world was changed forever.

Through my internship this summer, I will be supporting these FOCUS missionaries who are going out to college campuses and helping people learn to let Jesus to change their hearts, just like my missionaries did with me. My hope is for everyone to realize they were made for something truly amazing, and that something is an intimate relationship with God.
