We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?” – John 20:15
Who is it that you are seeking?
I am a missionary at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse!
College students are taught that they must makes themselves happy. The truth of the Gospel is that a relationship with Jesus Christ is they only thing that can bring them true happiness.
College students are told that a life lived with God is boring. The truth of the Gospel is that a live lived with God is the only thing that can satisfy that ache we all have in our hearts for something more.
When I came to college, I quickly put my all into pursuing things that would never be able to fulfill me. Thankfully, I soon met a FOCUS missionary who was bold enough to tell me that the only thing that could satisfy my deepest desires wasn’t even a thing at all – it was actually a person! Through my friendship with her and other faithful Catholics, I realized I wanted to start living my life completely for that person who knew my heart better than even I did: Jesus.
Daily, Jesus reminds me how much he desires my whole heart. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with FOCUS and share with other college students how deeply the Lord desires to be in relationship with them as well.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. As Christians, we are all called to spread the good news of the gospel, and God has blessed me with an incredible opportunity to invite others into this mission with me. I get to share my mission with those whose hearts desire to go on mission and reach the whole world. If you are interested in joining me in this mission, please let me know the best way I can reach you. I would be honored to find a time to meet up and share more!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
