Where I serve

My name is Violeta and I’m excited to announce that God has called me to serve at CSU-Stanislaus! GO WARRIORS!!

I’m so pumped to walk with the wonderful women on campus and to lead bible studies, discipleship, and live out the beautiful call as God’s beloved daughter with others.

My Story

I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Communications: Broadcast Journalism. I grew up in a culturally Catholic household – I “sabía” (to know) who God was, but didn’t “conocer” (to be acquainted) him. Faith wasn’t something I cared about.

In my second year of college, a missionary invited me to a Father’s House retreat hosted by Titan Catholic, the Catholic student community on campus. At that retreat, I encountered Christ’s healing mercy in wounds I was holding onto. For the first time, I saw God not just as a distant figure, but as a loving Father who desired a relationship with me.

The turning point came on the second night when I went to confession for the first time in five years. The priest said something that changed my life forever.

“Meet others where they are and love them. Love them even if they refuse to change their ways.”

Those words sparked a desire in me to grow in love and holiness. Through God’s mercy and the help of my friends and missionaries in Titan Catholic, I was able to truly love people freely, especially toward those I found difficult to love.

My first Father’s House retreat

After that night, God continuously invited me into deeper conversion and relationship with Him. Over the next few years, I was blessed to walk with women in bible studies and others in discipleship. I also served as our social media officer – helping evangelize not only on campus, but also in the digital world! These positions helped me grow in my identity as His beloved daughter.

Life with Christ over the past four years has been a beautiful, transformative adventure – and I want others to know the joy that comes from walking with Him. That’s why I’m so excited to continue the mission and share the Gospel with students at Stanislaus State!!
