Hey, I’m Xander! I have been called to serve as a missionary at Pittsburg State University alongside my three other teammates. I’m so excited for the opportunity to be working with the students in Pittsburg and to be spreading the love and joy that God has shown me in my own life.

I grew up going to a youth group within the Catholic Church which helped me to receive some fundamental intellectual formation in regards to the Church, but I never encountered Christ fully. It wasn’t until my freshman year at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I got the opportunity to go to the SEEK conference thanks to FOCUS and encountered the true presence of Jesus Christ. Since then, I have been working on my own personal formation and have seen how having a relationship with Jesus Christ truly impacts one’s life. I have seen amazing friendships grow, and I had the opportunity to share that around the campus. It was in doing this that I found my love for ministry! I knew the FOCUS missionaries on my campus fairly well and had a desire to interview for the position and see what it was about. Once I interviewed, I fell even more deeply in love with the idea of sharing the Gospel to students on a college campus and knew that God was calling me to pursue this desire. I am so excited to be able to share Christ’s love on campus as a FOCUS missionary!

As a missionary I have committed to relying fully on the financial and spiritual support of others so that I can give myself fully to the students on campus.
