Where I serve

The Lord has generously called me to serve at Texas A&M University! I feel beyond blessed to be walking with Greek women on campus alongside my eight teammates.

My Story

Throughout my life I had always known that God was my Creator, yet not until my sophomore year of college was I truly invited to know the personhood of Jesus Christ. As my world seemed to have crumbled in my own hands, I turned to the only person I knew to blame for it all, God. What began as an angry, tear-filled judgement on His plan for me turned into realizing everything I had lost paled in comparison to the way the Lord knew, saw, and loved me.

In this time, the Lord knew I needed accompaniment and sent a FOCUS student leader to invite me to her Bible study. Weekly Bible studies turned into a dear friendship, and she walked with me as I built a relationship with the Lord and entered the fullness of the faith. He patiently pursued me and placed in my heart a desire to become a FOCUS student leader myself. One of my greatest joys of college was getting to lead a group of women in a bible study for my last two years of college.

When faced with the decision of what to do postgrad, I was fairly set on using my Economics degree, but the Lord had a greater plan for me! I vividly remember the Lord inviting me to consider FOCUS while sitting before Him in our campus chapel. One step turned into another, and I have answered His call to be a missionary!

My heart is so full of gratitude for my team, my students, my mission partners, and for all that the Lord has done these past 2 years. When I first said yes to mission, I never could have imagined just how much I would receive in return. I am now in my third year on mission at Texas A&M feeling profound appreciation for what has been and hopeful anticipation for what’s still to come!
