I am serving at Northern State University in the great state of South Dakota as a first-year missionary!! My greatest desire as a missionary is to walk with students on their journey towards Christ through authentic friendship so that they may come to know the Gospel message and learn of the true freedom and life-giving joy it brings!

I came to college from a small town where everyone knew me. I felt extremely lonely and isolated going from such a loving community to a place where I felt unseen and unloved. I began searching for affirmation, love, and identity in all the wrong places. This only led to greater feelings of isolation and loneliness.

I found myself racking my brain for the last time I felt safe, seen, and loved. “Church” repeated over and over in my mind; I knew I had to go that instant. I walked to the chapel of the Newman Center and entered through the doors of the sanctuary. It was as if instantly I was home. I knew I was safe, known, and above all, loved.

My missionaries encountered me there and began to walk with me on my journey towards Christ. They revealed the life-altering truth that my identity lies within my daughterhood as a child of the loving Father. My missionaries affirmed that I am already perfectly, eternally loved, seen, known, and cherished by the Lord. They taught me how to pray, reintroduced me to the sacraments, and continued to invite me deeper into my relationship with the Lord, which completely changed my life forever.

There is a war being waged for souls at every moment. College campuses are some of the most intense battle areas as students are alone for the first time feeling lost, unseen, unknown, and unloved. The enemy is fighting HARD for these vulnerable souls.
