My Story

Arriving at the University of Oklahoma in August of 2022, I was prepared to continue going to church every Sunday and not think about faith too much more outside of that. Fortunately thanks to the invitation from a friend I was able to join a FOCUS bible study. This led to a deepening of my faith as I began attending daily Mass and regularly receiving the Sacraments. Eventually, a FOCUS missionary would invite me to Discipleship to walk in the footsteps of Christ with him.

The pivotal moment for me occurred in the fall semester of my senior year. I had just finished a great internship and had an amazing job opportunity lined up. I had lots of awesome friends I had made throughout my college experience, plenty of fun hobbies and activities I engaged in and lots of time to think about the future. This all led me to ask if this is it, is there not something more? This discontentment and desire for more led me to apply to become a missionary. I want to give witness to how Christ has changed my life and can change yours as well. I am excited to see where this journey with Christ takes me next.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. My hope for the students I serve is that they never consider their financial situation as an impediment to receiving grace.
