We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all! – Philippians 2:17
I am a 1st year missionary serving at the University of Connecticut! Go Huskies! UConn has nearly 30,000 students and boasts a vibrant Catholic center, but the campus remains a mission field desperately in need of a relationship with Christ. The Northeast is new territory for a Midwest kid like myself, but I am excited to see how the Lord challenges and blesses my ‘yes’ to mission!
My path to conversion has been filled with many ups and downs. I have come to learn that our salvation is seldom gained through a one-off, singular transformation of the heart. It’s a daily renewal!
I was born and raised Catholic, and for many years, I thought my conversion happened in high school, and I was granted permission to coast. I attended Benedictine College and received a rich theological education, but I treated my faith as a matter of the mind and not the heart. After years of chasing academic accolades and worldly success, I came to know the ache in my heart for a relationship with Christ Jesus. He desires to know us intimately! This realization was not easy, but after encountering the hopelessness of my generation during a transformative summer internship, I knew the Lord was calling me to mission.
This heart for mission was revealed to me through my late friend, Alex Lynch. Alex passed away a week before our graduation after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He is a saint. Alex embodied grace and abandonment to divine providence during his final months here on earth. He galvanized my faith and sparked a desire for revival in my heart and the hearts of many others at Benedictine. Before Alex passed, I promised that I would take him on mission with me. I intend on fulfilling this promise and giving all the glory back to our Lord. He must increase, and I must decrease (John 3:30)!
We are all called to ‘go forth’ and proclaim the word of God. God has given me a unique mission to fulfill the Great Commission on college campuses, and by joining my support team, you will also be joining me on mission!
I want to show UConn the abundant life that God offers us, but this can only be done if people like you give in abundance. I encourage you to prayerfully discern your gift to my mission.
If you do decide to give, a monthly donation is the preferred form of gift so that I can budget accordingly and serve the Church as long as God calls me to do so. Your generosity will change lives!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
