Where I serve

Hey there! I am a fourth year missionary at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina. I have been here at the Abbey for my entire time with FOCUS, and my wife, Bailey, and I were married on November 26, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Charlotte. The roots we have established here in Belmont these past few years have born much fruit in our mission to make Jesus Christ known among the students and our friends. All glory to God!

My Story

I had a reversion to the faith in 9th grade where I encountered the person of Jesus Christ at my local parish in Vergennes, Vermont. Throughout high school, I fell in love with the Catholic faith and intellectual tradition.

After high school, I spent two years at college seminary at Our Lady of Providence Seminary and Providence College in Rhode Island. It was there that I developed a great love for the Sacred Liturgy, especially in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. I learned how to pray and study philosophy, theology, and the Liturgy.

Although it was amazing, God called me away. I then spent a semester in Fall of 2018 back home in Vermont to seek the Lord’s call on my life. I spent quite a bit of time at the Catholic Center at the University of Vermont, where I met and developed deep friendships with the FOCUS missionaries. I was deeply drawn to the joy and the Holy Spirit manifest in them. At SEEK 2019, I realized that the reason for this was because the missionaries and mission of FOCUS are authentic to Jesus’ great commission to the apostles. The Lord set on my heart the call to follow suit and become a FOCUS missionary myself.

I’m now on my way back to Belmont Abbey College for my fifth year on mission and as the team director, with my lovely wife Bailey and little boy Luke!
