We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
After serving two years at the University of Northern Colorado, the Lord has called me to serve with Digital Campus as I return to school for massage therapy. Digital is a shining light within FOCUS – allowing college students to have group bible studies and discipleship groups even if there is no Catholic presence on their campus.
I am what you would call a “cradle Catholic”. From the moment of my baptism as a baby, my parents and family (of course by the grace of God) have instilled in me a love for the Catholic Church. But it was not until I studied at the University of Mary that I really took hold of my own faith and fell in love with Jesus. During my three short years at UMary, Jesus was slowly working in my heart to make it one for mission.
Since first seeing the FOCUS missionaries on the UMary campus, I loved the idea of being a missionary myself. I was very involved in a FOCUS Bible Study and ended up leading it when my student leader graduated. But it was not until SEEK 2021 that the grace to serve as a missionary pierced my heart. I became bold in my faith and realized that as a Christian, it is MY job to lead souls to Jesus. As Christians, we are given a GIFT to know and love our Jesus. But most of the world is not aware that there even is a God who loves them. It is our jobs as Christians to bring that good news to them.
Now that I am on campus, I have a new perspective for the urgency of souls. The battle between Heaven and Hell is real, especially on a college campus. Whether I am leading a student at the Catholic Center in bible study or talking with a new student during a volleyball game, that fact stands that they are made for total union with Jesus in Heaven. This is the war we are facing and fighting for on college campuses – the war for souls and salvation.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
