I served as a first-year missionary at the University of Alabama Birmingham / Samford! Now I’ll be serving at my Alma Mater SD MINES!

I am married to my beautiful wife Katie! We both met in the Protestant Campus Ministry Campus Ventures during college and God has worked powerfully in my life! I went through foster-care for 3-years before getting adopted at 11 by Christian farmers. I now have 7 sisters (I am the youngest). I’ve always had a heart for seeking truth and reading the Bible. I grew up in a Protestant Church and I always thought things were black and white and simple. But the more I looked into things, I felt the answers to all the questions I was asking always seemed to be changing.

I really disagreed with Catholicism almost my entire life, but especially during college. I’d go up to Catholics and question them on how the Bible was compatible with Catholicism. Yet throughout my searching, I found out I was never satisfied with the answers I heard from my own church and was always confused how two very holy and virtuous Christians could have the Holy Spirit, yet come to two totally different conclusions.

I then began “Church hopping” a lot, going from Non-denominational, to Evangelical-Free, to Southern Baptist, to Pentecostal, to Messianic Judaism, to House-Church, to Eastern Orthodox, and finally, though not very willingly, to Catholicism through the help of the Catholic FOCUS Missionaries who always would meet up with me and challenge me to grow. Through these patient friends and the teaching of the early Church Fathers, the Lord revealed to me the beauty of the Eucharist and how to be fully one with Christ. I came into the fulness of the faith September 25th, 2022 and joyfully desire to share Christ’s joy with others through my brokenness!

I’ve learned that the overflow each person in the Trinity has for the other is enough love for us all. I desire to make Christ known simply from my Divine Intimacy with Him who knows me. Despite the fears I often struggle with, of being scrupulous or legalistic, Christ teaches me truth in love to heal my wounds day-by-day. And though I can’t love perfectly as Christ does, I still can learn to love from the examples of the Saints, such as through St. Therese’s Little Way. All is an offering to Him.

Even a small, seemingly pathetic offering given wholly to God can be turned to gold – something of substance that can withstand purgation & becomes pleasing to God – and become worth more than any “house” I build of my effort that will perish under that same fire.

I am particularly fond of the Full Rosary (including Luminous) and Mental Prayer and pray for everyone to console the heart of Jesus through gratitude!

My prayer is that each person I encounter becomes holier than me, granted I become as holy as I should.
