Not sure where to start with making disciples in your parish? Overwhelmed by the thought of trying to imitate what you did on campus with a full work or family schedule? In this video, 2023 St. Francis Xavier Honor recipients, Adam and Maria Bremerkamp, share their inspiring story of discipleship in the parish. Following a simple framework that we are all familiar with, Adam and Maria are now leading over 100 people in discipleship and Bible study, reaching every aspect of their community from the local school to Knights of Columbus to families to nearby colleges.
Adam and Maria served as missionaries from 2013-2015. Adam served at Baylor University and Maria at Southeast Missouri State. They now live in Mount Vernon, OH raising their four children. Adam works as a project manager at Ariel Corporation. Adam and Maria are raising up missionary disciples in their local parishes through Bible studies and discipleship groups.

What does AL+UM mean?
AL+UM (Altum) comes from “Duc in Altum”, which means to“Set out into the deep.” This call, to set out into the deep, is the call of every person seeking after Christ. You are on a different mission now than when you were on campus, yet as you cast your nets, the Lord will certainly bless you with a great catch if you continue to trust in Him.
