Where We serve

The Lord has called me to serve as a parish missionary at Santa Clara de Asis in Yorba Linda, California in Orange County. Jayvee and I could not be happier to be placed on a parish where we could help more people encounter God’s love and to build a Christ-centered community in our current parish.

My past two years as FOCUS missionary, I was serving the college students at the University of Nevada in Reno. As a missionary, my goal is to help every person to encounter Christ and respond to His call to “make disciples of all nations” (Mt 28: 19-20). Every person is called to be in communion with Christ and experience God’s Infinite Love. Our society experiences what St. John Paul II called a “culture of death.” In an uncertain and hopeless word, God comes to shine His light “in the darkness” (John 1:5). With your help, we can reach out to all nations and bring the hope and the joy of the Gospel to all people’s hearts.

Our Story

Jayvee and Alessandra met in Irvine where Alessandra attended college. During our collegiate years, we both realized the importance of having someone investing and leading you in your discipleship journey as you grow closer in authentic friendship. It was a blessing for us to have FOCUS in our campuses because we learned what having a true relationship with Christ looks like. God did not want us to only go to mass every Sunday, he wanted our whole selves. He wants our hearts. We encountered the love of Christ in such a profound way that it was impossible for us to say no to His calling to help others encounter this Perfect Love. May you also encounter His Everlasting Love for you!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve at my parish.
