We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

God has called me to serve the students of the College of William and Mary as a first year missionary! Roll tribe!
My team from left to right (excluding Luke): Me, Skylar, Teresa
I grew up in a Catholic family where the faith was always present—Sunday Mass, family prayer, and the sacraments were all part of my life. I knew about Jesus, and I believed in Him, but for most of high school and into the early years of college, I wouldn’t say I had a real relationship with Him. Faith was more of a background routine than a living, personal commitment.
That began to change during my junior year of college, when a FOCUS missionary reached out to me. He invited me to get involved with the Catholic ministry at Columbia, and I said yes—somewhat unsure of what I was getting into. But that invitation ended up being a turning point in my life.
Through the ministry, I encountered a group of men who were genuinely striving to live lives of virtue and holiness. Their example challenged me, encouraged me, and ultimately drew me into a deeper relationship with Christ. For the first time, I wasn’t just going through the motions. I was praying regularly, diving into Scripture, and discovering the joy of living with purpose and faith.
That experience planted a desire in my heart to share what I had received. I realized how much I needed someone to walk with me in my faith journey—and I wanted to be that person for others. That’s why I’ve decided to become a FOCUS missionary: to walk alongside other men, helping them encounter Christ, grow in virtue, and live the fullness of the Catholic faith.
When I answered the call to become a missionary, I made the commitment to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. I am excited to invite others into this mission to reach the students at the College of William and Mary.
