We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello there! My name is Anna Grace, and I am a second-year missionary!
“ I thank my God for every remembrance of you, always in every one of my prayers for all of you, praying with joy for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
~Phillipians 1: 3-5
I serve at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Having grown up in an Air Force family, I am very excited to serve on this campus! These cadets are some of the most extraordinary young people I have ever met. Their passion to serve not only their country, but their fellow cadets is truly inspiring. They call me higher every day with their examples of character, dedication, and integrity.
I had the great blessing of being raised in the Catholic faith. My three younger siblings and I were born in Lompoc California while my parents served at Vandenberg Air Force Base. When I was 10, my father got a job at the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) at Offutt Air Force Base in Sarpy County NE, and our family has been there for the past 11 years. I graduated from the University of NE-Lincoln in 2023, and the Newman Center on campus changed my life. I encountered the person of Christ who led me to the Holy Trinity; my heart was ravished. I had always heard that I was a daughter of God, but this was the first time that I felt that truth resonate in the deepest places of my heart. I fell in love with the Catholic faith in a new way. I began leading bible studies and mentor groups for both college and high school students. Walking with young women in this way and getting to watch the Lord change their lives and heal their hearts, I started to feel a tug on my own. I felt a deep desire for all those around me to encounter the person of Christ and know how deeply and personally they are loved by Him. I think of His words, “I thirst” and know that He is speaking those words today, speaking of His thirst for souls and His desire to see us all in heaven. I want people to know this, to know that they have the freedom to accept Him into their lives. I want to serve the Lord by bringing this truth to people and pray that those I encounter on campus can know that He is real, and experience His transformative, healing, and merciful love for them.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
“Yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me” ~ Galatians 2:20
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
