Throughout my entire life, I’ve been motivated to explore what objective truth and reality are. However, I often found myself placing my identity in things that simply didn’t fulfill me-things that, had they been taken away, would’ve given me no foundation to stand on. Whether it was politics, music, or military service, all things that had the opportunity to be good, but surely none of those could be the end that this world had to offer, right? During my sophomore year of college, I found the truth and the identity I was looking and longing for.

Thanks to the presence of FOCUS on my campus, I was able to discover the church that Jesus Christ Himself founded here on earth; given to humanity as a gift and a means to reconcile the broken relationship between God and man. I had been running away from the idea of Catholicism for so many years, but careful discernment, exploration, support from genuine friends, and an immeasurable amount of grace led me to join the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church! The truth I was looking for: God became a man and came to save us (John 1:1, 14). The identity: we are His beloved children (1 John 3:1). This is the Good News.

I have become and am still convinced that there is no greater truth worth sharing with people, and I truly believe in the mission of FOCUS, which is the mission of Jesus and His Church, to evangelize and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).

I said “Yes” to joining staff with FOCUS part-time while still a senior in college at West Chester, and after serving there for a year and finishing my degree, I was moved to Montclair to serve full-time.

FOCUS provides its missionaries the opportunity to build a team of supporters and invite them to be on mission with us. Your support provides the resources for us to fulfill Christ’s commission to make disciples! There is nothing on earth that I am more passionate about sharing, and I would love to invite you to join me on this mission!
