We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi, I’m Delaney!
Be not afraid of your Savior; O sinful soul. I make the first move to come to you, for I know that by yourself you are unable to lift yourself to me. Child, do not run away from your Father;
How dear your soul is to Me!
Words of Jesus to St. Faustina (Diary, 1485)
In the upcoming fall semester I will be serving as a student missionary at the University of Nebraska Kearney! I will be completing my degree while being a part-time missionary! After graduation in December, I will be placed on a to-be-determined new campus!
Cradle Catholic here! With being surrounded by Catholicism in my younger years, coming to college made me face the reality of needing to choose my faith. Even as I remained steadfast in my faith and getting involved at the community in the Newman Center, I knew in my heart that I needed to pursue a relationship with the Lord. I didn’t even know the Father, the question that dwelled in my heart was, “Lord I know you are present, but are you listening?”
My time at UNK has been such a blessing. For the past two years I have lived at the Newman Center so that means JESUS, our Newman Chaplain, and both the male and female missionaries have been my neighbors! Getting to have daily encounters with all of them has made my life so joyful and playful!
Through all of this, God pursued me in relationship with intentionally and intimacy. He did this through virtuous friendships and Eucharistic Adoration! I became rooted in my relationship with Christ by sitting before my creator and being surrounded by people who are loving me! Oh…how the the mercy and intimacy of the Blessed Sacrament is needed on every campus!
On every college campus there is a deep need to be loved, belong, and to be invited into something good. As we know, this need can be fulfilled through relationship with others! In FOCUS we offer Bible studies, discipleship, and prayer. As a FOCUS missionary I seek to accompany students in discovering the joy of the Gospel and responding to Christ’s call to lifelong mission. In my mission I have a financial need as we are asked to fundraise 100% of our salary. I invite others to join me—spiritually and financially—as partners in this mission to transform the world for Christ, one soul at a time.
I am so excited to start serving as a missionary and ask you to support me in this journey!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
