We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us”
1 Thessalonians 2:8
In His Great Commission, Jesus Christ tells His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This year, I will be responding to this command as a Greek missionary at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Geaux Tigers!

Growing up, I had always loved the gospel and the story of Jesus Christ. However, I often found it difficult to live an imitative lifestyle. I would attend church occasionally and read my bible when I found time, but I was not truly devoted to being a disciple of Christ.
My freshman year at Auburn, I became enthralled with college party culture, halting the already dwindling relationship I had with the Lord. The deeper I sank into this lifestyle, the lonelier I felt. At some point in the year, while attending a history class, I became interested in the history of the Church and began to read about the beliefs and teachings of the early Christians. Over the next few months, I encountered people whose lives had been changed through FOCUS’s mission. Eventually, I decided to reach out to one of my campus’s missionaries. In the following months, my missionary led me through OCIA, bible studies, and eventually sponsored me as I was confirmed in the Holy Catholic Church.
Being walked with in intentional friendship completely changed my life. As a missionary, I want to extend this same gift to the students at Louisiana State University.
As missionaries, we rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to make our impact on college campuses possible. It is a joy to invite others to come on mission with me!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.

We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
