We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Then he said to his disciples, ” The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38
For my first year as a missionary God has called me to serve the students at the University of Northern Iowa! Go Panthers!
I grew up in a Catholic family and I also attended a Catholic school K-12. I had a pretty steady or lukewarm faith per se and I knew God loved me. However, I didn’t realize how much until I did FOCUS Summer Projects at Camp Lolek my junior year of college. My college didn’t have FOCUS so I owe this experience to a dear friend who had FOCUS missionaries and inspired me.
After summer projects, I had a new perspective of the Catholic faith and missionaries in general. After attending my first SEEK in Utah this past winter, I decided to apply to be a FOCUS missionary and here I am now!
As a FOCUS missionary, I have chosen to rely on God to give me the full support I need by relying on the incredible people around me. It is because of my mission partners that I am able to live on a college campus and spread the good news!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
