Where I serve

I am serving my campus as a full-time missionary. My role is to be a friend to every student I meet, to tangibly show them the love of Christ. Together, my team of missionaries leads Bible studies, meets with students for one-on-one discipleship, supports the local parish, and organizes fun events.

My Story

It took a battle wound and months spent in bed for St Ignatius of Loyola to take an honest look at his life. Only then did he fully surrender his life to Jesus. For me, it took a global pandemic.

It was 2020, my freshman year at the College of William & Mary. I spent much of it alone in my dorm. I had lots of time to reflect on my life and the man I was becoming. But every time I looked inside, I saw shame, regret, and self-hatred. I wanted to change, but I felt powerless to do it.

I began to pray more and to study the ancient roots of my Christian faith. It soon became clear that Jesus was calling me to follow Him more radically. He was inviting me to enter His Catholic Church. I resisted for a time, but when I finally I surrendered everything to Him, I found healing and peace. I became a Catholic in the spring of 2023.

Since then, my life has been marked by an ever-growing desire for prayer and sacrifice for others. My heart burns for all the students who are, like I was, looking for rest in a wearied world. Like St Ignatius, my story shows that our hearts were made to rest in the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He devoted his life to making Jesus known, and I want to do the same.

It is the hidden sacrifices of everyday people that change the world. There is nothing special about me as an evangelist. My strength lies in the prayer and support of mission partners like you who share my desire to change the world for the Kingdom of God.

Together, we can join in the Church’s mission to draw everyone to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We have the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the holy angels, and all the saints who have gone before us at our backs. There is nothing to lose, and everything to gain! Are you in?
