My Story

I was blessed to have attended Catholic school K-12, but my family had left the Catholic church when I was young. It was not until high school that I had returned to the Catholic faith when my friend had invited me to several Steubenville conferences where I kept reencountering God and His unconditional love. At the last conference in the summer of 2021 as I was graduating high school, I had a massive encounter with the Eucharist during Adoration, where I discovered the power of prayer and how God truly loves me as His beloved daughter. As I started college at the University of Pittsburgh soon after, I knew I wanted to continue growing in faith, but I was scared coming into a large public university. Praise God I found the Newman group and met a FOCUS missionary who invited me into her Bible Study. Through God and the love of this missionary, I experienced true authentic friendship with the women in my Bible study and with God. Over the next four years, I continued to grow in relationship with God through Bible study, discipleship, SEEK conferences, and the sacraments and church teachings at the Pittsburgh Oratory. My heart was set on fire to serve God and love others as He truly loves us.

During my freshmen year at Pitt, I was terrified to share the Gospel until the FOCUS missionary I had mentioned above had reminded me of God’s call for all souls to reach heaven. I realized that so many college students experience anxiety, addiction, depression, and loneliness as I once did. The epidemic is real, yet God opens his arms for each and every one of us to come running home into his warm embrace as we remember our identity as his beloved children.

St. Catherine of Siena said, “Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.” God has placed this desire in my heart to embark on the Great Commission to serve college students. It’s time to set this world on fire with faith, hope, and charity.
