We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I graduated from the land of milk and honey, James Madison University (Go Dukes begins with GOD!!), and I am so excited to be serving at Boston University!!!
Here’s my team! From left to right: David, Julie, me, and Michael!
I was blessed to be born and raised in a Catholic household, with parents who made Sunday Mass and youth group a priority for all of their children. But despite being surrounded by the beauty of the Catholic faith, I had no idea how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I knew the right things to say, the correct answers to any questions about my faith, but my heart had this void that I was filling with perfectionism and worldly success, and it was only leaving me more restless and unsatisfied.
At the beginning of my sophomore year at James Madison University, I met Katie, who casually invited me to go to daily Mass and pray for an hour before our class. And by the grace of the Holy Spirit, I said yes. Around the same time, a FOCUS missionary invited me into her bible study and pursued me in authentic friendship. They walked with me in cultivating an authentic relationship with the God who created the heavens and the earth, and slowly but surely the walls that I had built up around my heart came crumbling down. I encountered the love of the Father and decided to give Him my whole life, which He has blessed abundantly ever since.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
If you are interested in being with me on this mission, hit the button below that says “Support Kailey,” please let me know of the best way to reach you, and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission of hope with you!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
