We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Go forward bravely. Fear nothing. Trust in God. All will be well. – St. Joan of Arc
I come from a Catholic family and have known Jesus my whole life. I was involved in youth ministries, loved participating in the Mass in various ways and cherish our parish community. I am so blessed to have been formed so well by my family and wonderful Catholic schools from elementary through high school. However, I found myself lost, confused, and questioning my faith during my first year of college and quickly fell into sorority secular culture. I had found friends and a community- but it quickly became my identity and left me wanting. Towards the end of that first year I felt isolated and alone in my faith, lacking a sense of deep faith community I had been hoping to find in college. I was desperately seeking mentors and friends in the faith and after much prayer and discernment, I decided to transfer to a campus that would provide me with these opportunities.
At the beginning of my time at the University of Kentucky, I was encountered by a FOCUS Greek missionary who instantly became a close friend and mentor, she was such a pivotal part of my journey to deepening my walk with Christ. We cultivated a fast friendship and suddenly knew I wanted to be involved in whatever she was a part of. She introduced me to my very best friends by inviting me into my first ever bible study and helped me get involved at the Newman Center. I sought out and prayed for Catholic community with my transfer to the University of Kentucky and the doors of the Newman Center immediately felt like home.
Throughout my time at the University of Kentucky I was loved and cared for so well by our missionaries and was immediately drawn to their way of life. It seemed so appealing to be living so joyfully and yet pouring out for these souls on campuses that need Christ. I am so humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to impact students in this way and to walk with them in discipleship and deeper friendship with Christ and one another. I was given the immense honor and privilege of leading many women in bible studies and small groups during my time in college. I truly came alive leading them and it quickly became my favorite part of my week. They have all taught me so much and impacted me in more ways than words can express. I am so humbled to have the opportunity to do this work full time and to walk with women with stories like theirs and create deep and lasting friendships with the students I encounter, as I have with the missionaries that have invested in me.

You are incredible! Thank you so much for choosing to partner with me in this mission and seeing the important work to be done on college campuses. I cannot do this without you. Please know of my continued prayers and gratitude for you and please pray for me and the students the Lord calls me to encounter on this mission.
I truly believe in the mission of FOCUS and am so grateful you do too! Together we can reach more souls for Christ and make the college campus a place of rapid spiritual growth and development for all seeking souls- but I need your help to do it. Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers and support!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
