It is my pleasure to be on mission by serving on the team that makes our annual SEEK Conference happen! SEEK is one of the biggest Catholic events happening worldwide, with 25,000+ people attending each year. It is a 5 day conference where attendees get to encounter Christ in the sacraments, prayer and adoration, the other fellow Christians in attendance, and to receive inspiration and encouragement through talks given by Catholic speakers.

Without any exaggeration, I would say a significant percentage of young adults who are practicing their Catholic Faith today had some kind of iconic moment in their relationship with Jesus while attending a SEEK conference, whether it be a radical conversion or a calling to deeper intimacy with our Lord.  The conference has continued to grow over the years and there’s no doubt at this time in history God is choosing to use SEEK as a tremendous channel of his grace.  I am honored to be one of the people behind the scenes who he works through to make the event happen.

Upon beginning my college career at the University of Maryland, I made my way over to the Catholic Student Center and became best friends with the FOCUS missionaries.  My friendships with them truly were transformative friendships. Through them I encountered the love of Jesus in a profound way.  The FOCUS missionaries walked with me, helped to form me, and taught me how to be the missionary I was called to be by nature of my baptism.

After hundreds of hours spent on problem sets and studying, I graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Naturally, I decided the next step was to become a FOCUS missionary; if there was any chance I could help anybody encounter the love of Jesus the way my missionaries did for me, then it was worth a shot.  More importantly, Jesus is thirsting for souls;  what better way to respond to His thirst than by winning souls for Christ on a college campus!

As a FOCUS missionary, I fundraise my entire salary, as do all of my teammates on the Conference Team.  In a beautiful way, this means that my work and the SEEK conference as a whole is entirely dependent on the prayers and financial support of people like you! I am so grateful for the people who support me and for being able to be partners on mission with them.  I get to cultivate relationships with my mission partners and, in turn, they are engaged in the mission by receiving my monthly newsletters, prayer requests, and even our annual team Christmas card!
